TOP TEN COUNTDOWN

10. Bleached Hair
For whatever reason, having your hair bleached was the "in" thing to do for teenagers and young kids. Eminem is to be given partial credit for this fad I do believe. Thank you Eminem, thank you for ruining hair everywhere! : )

9. Macarena Dance

This Spanish song by Los Del Rio was a ginormous hit from 1993-1997. As we all know, this song still lives on today at weddings. But, back in the 90s, everyone knew the dance and couldn't resist it! The song has been considered the number 1 "One-Hit Wonder of All Time" by VH1 in 2002. Ayyyy Macarena!!!

8. The "Rachel Haircut"

This haircut was introduced the first season on the hit show Friends. The character Rachel, played by Jennifer Aniston, had the hair every woman wanted, and got.

7. Furby

These little fuzzy robot friends were a MUST HAVE. They start out talking in their native language "Furbish", and gradually learn English, and the more they know the more they "grow".

6. Giapets and Tamagotchi
These hand held digital pets were in the hands and pockets of everyone. You could feed your pet, play with it, and connect with friends. On top of all that, you didn't have to do any dirty work!

5. Grunge Style

This fashion style was born through grunge music. Plaid shirts, ripped jeans, baggy shirts and darker colors were necessities for this style.

4. Spice Girls

These British girls became a hit everywhere in 1994. They were funny, had neat fashion, and could sing. Girl Power!

3. Beanie Babies

These stuffed animals weren't filled with the normal, but little "beans". They became a fast collectible that many people made a hobby. I couldn't even tell you how many I owned!!!

2. Boy Bands

Young girls all over the country made these fellows rich. There were so many boy bands but, the most popular were N Sync, Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees.

1. Pokemon

Pokemon was the biggest thing EVER to hit the U.S. in the 1990s. Almost every kid had something Pokemon, and had trading cards. Gotta Catch 'Em All!
